Mike, These are new Albino's from a female baenschi, only 2 out of 38 fry. Callum had posted comments before about his breeding pair of Royal Blues that throw around 1/3 Albino fry. Of that first lot we have 9 that are really doing well, around 2-3cm. The latest brood of Royal blues she didn't hold as much, with around 3 Albinos out of 12. Not sure Smidey, too early to tell, currently only white with red eyes.... We will try get some photo's and let you see them. Cheers Dave

My female baenschi spat today 38 fry today and when I took a closer look I noticed 2 Albonios swimming around :bounce: :bounce: I was wondering if anyone else have any? I havent seperated them yet into there own little net or breeder trap that they use for guppies, but i will tomorrow. They probably wont survive, as I have quite a few Albino Royal Blue Peacock babies and they seem to be much weeker than the normals but I'll give it a go and hopefully they should take off really well to some baby brine shrimp

Hi Dan, um im just feeding them spirlina flake, colour bits and once a week frozen brine shrimp.they tend to like the colour bits more. cheers

We have 3 breeding pairs. Fish we got from Ryan Dury, all grown up now, paired off and spawning. No big broods yet, just 4 to 10 fry at a time, but it should get better as the breed more. Will sell some through the forum whe they get bigger. Callum

Yep, They were from Jansens Mt. Eden. Kyle seemed to think they were Otto Pt? Male has really long fins and a swallow shaped tail. We have kept them away from any bigger fish, scared his fins get ripped. The bigger female looks like she will spawn any day, had to take the smaller one out, was getting beaten up by the bigger female. We may need to get some more girls to spread the aggression?? Afrikan, Callum has the adult pair Royal Blue Peacocks (previously in the Jansens Mt. Eden Shop Cichlid display tank). This pair throws albino fry. Not sure if it is the male or female, as we have not split the pair and tried another mate for each yet. Currently, from the first hold we have about 60 fry, 1/3 of them are albino. These are about 4 weeks old. The female is conditioning up again and will breed again in the next week or so. We have been told to separate them from the normal marked fry, which are naturally stonger and will dominate them for food etc, possibly killing them over time as they compete in the same space. Will try post a pick of the adult pair and fry at some stage, and let you know how they are getting on. Cheers Dave (Callum's dad) :bounce:

I currently have 7 yellow leleupi adults pairing off. And theres this very big female orange leleupi almost the same size as the biggest male yellow Leleupi and i would like to know that if they cross breed what would the young turn out like and if it would actually be sellable or would they just be hybrids that no one wants? thanks Callum
