  1. hey guys we are having a bit of trouble with a bristlenose at feeding time. He is the only one in the tank and therefore has plenty of food but when the other fish are fed he goes after them (not the food) Is he just a grump? :-?
  2. yea the grass we have used is made up of big tufts that the fish can get into. one lot is fixed and the other floats upside down at the top. hope it works

    Dont know how much the plastic plants will grow (will try real plants when i get a bit braver. Isolation tanks are meant to be guppy breeders but we soon saw that it was just stressing the fish and hav now put together a little breeding tank. And yes they are lil blood corpuscles, they cost me a needle!

  5. Thanks guys, have managed to set up a very small tank with plenty of breeding gress as a save haven for fry. I hope this works! Thanks again you guys have been great!

    Hey guys! Awesome website! We are new to keeping fish and it all started with a 20l tank with a few guppies and neons but we soon caught the bug and now have a 160l community tank with the following inhabitants 6 guppies 4 neons 2 cherry barbs 2 checker barbs 2 glowlights 3 swordtails 2 dwarf honey gouramis 2 small angels 4 platties 2 silver mollies 3 plecos 1 algae eater and one really agressive danio hehe! Thanks for the help already guys! look forward to hearing from you all more often!
  8. It has been great to get some help on this its hard to see all the females abort! Will go and introduce myself now :oops: sorry guys!
  9. HELP! Not only have my platty babies died, all my livebearers panic when put into the guppy breeders and abort their babies! We are new to keeping tropical fish and still get attached to the little ones! We are thinking about setting up a small "breeding tank" with plenty of breeding grass etc, is this the only way? Thanks heaps to anyone who can help us!
