not really ,as these are labyrinth fish, have you tested water quality ? But dont get me wrong they do explore the whole of the aquarium . when did you get them , do all 3 rest on bottom ?

cherry babs are very mellow and peaceful keeping them selves to them selves in my opinion . i personally have had no probs with them . i used builders sand for substrate also (washed again and again !) there is someone on t.m selling bamboo funiture for tanks .
