In my discus tank the red one has lost all colour this morning and none of them are eating - all was fine last night and now its disaster !!

oh and when you used the kusuri did you add it to the tank slowly over a 1 hour period? is that totally necessary?

I just overhauled my discus tank - well I got rid of duck weed the best I could and removed a large amazon sword that was covered in algae, crud and other stuff - the question is now I only have a driftwood and a tall grass would the discus be happier with a replacement large plant? or the open swimming space? - is it likely to bother them the change?

great glad to know someone has used it before - do you think it may hurt clown loaches, that is my concern...and it safe not harsh?

I have a duckweed problem and I aren't sure how it all started as I have not intriduced any new platns for over a year, once a week I manuaaly take as much as possible out but its back with a vengenance later, any ideas on how to control this??

hey siminan did you know that prazi is basically sold at rural supply stores as adtape usually they will see you some on mch smaller amounts than the 5 litre tubs as well

Hi my cichlids seem to have a long thread hanging out of their bodies, its not stringy or fluffy just long they all seem to be behaving okay but I am wondering if its an issue? it is kind of brown in colour??

Hi, I see there is a remedy out called Kusuri which can be used for the treatment of gill flukes, worms etc in discus, does anyone have experience with think or know if it would be safe with clown loaches? I usually use Prazi and fund thus a safe option but uts hard to get !!

I have a 225 litre discus tank all water parameters are fine. but i notice that my discus are flashing a bit ant night - is it best to start treating with Prazi? Also my smaller yellow one has two pimple like things on the lower edge oh its body - seems to be eating okay however, should I worry about this?? also algae is overrunning the tank its long, fluffy and kind of blue green, I have manually removed as much as I can and suck as much up as I can with a gravel vac each time, is there anything else I can do? And lastly i have all these little spores kind of like minature four leaf clover things that have floated to the top of the tank, I am netting out as much as I can but it keep on cmming back, its some kind of weird plant growth? any ideas? HELP !!!

If you go to a rual vet that deals with horses etc they are usually more up with the play, if you ask for adtape that is the commercial name for liquid prazi and you can usually but it in smaller quantities that the 5L bins it comes in....otherwise you can buy droncit for around $1.40 per tab from most vet places

I have 3 discus in my tank and the white diamond is becoming overly dominant it is picking on the red melon chasing it about consistently and will not even let it eat, I notice now that the top part of the melons fin has come away a bit it looks like a mini mohawk shall i treat with some melafix or should it come right - I am thinking about adding another discus or two -hopefully to spread aggression is this the best way to go about it? Its realy quite long and very thick ony on the plant leaves and the CO2 pipes, i have heard that a siamese algae eater may help but do they run with discus okay?

In my 980 tank I have a whole lot of fluffy light brown stuff attaching itself to the pipes and plant leave it kind of looks like cobwebs its really hard to vacuum out and seems to of appeared since i removed my old carbon filters and added in another cannister filter, but this may be a coincidence? so how do I get rid of it , is there a specific algae eater, will it be harmful to the discus at all? thanks

yeah its been operating since labour weekend sunday so I am going to pull out the old filter an give it a good clean out and the impeller head etc as it might be blocked it started out with a much better flow but I think its got blocked with gunge I should clean it out using the tank water right?

tank has been operating for a year but I added a second cannister filter to the standard aqua one filtration system however the new cannister filter is going trough the old filter, they are working in conjunction so I wouldn't of thought I would get an ammonia spike

Did some water tests in my tank the Ph is fine, Nitrite at 0 but the ammonia shows levels at 0.25 is this getting to the dangerous stage?

the amazon sword plant is a nice looking good plant that growns fairly big and gives them somewhere to hang out as well
