  1. nice fish there indeed, i think the future of tang keeping looks positive.
  2. i have always had success with the "throw more fish in & leave them to it" theory. you have 11 fish in 340L, i used to have around 24 in 200L. granted they weren't quite as large as those or had the potential to get as big as they will but if one angry critter has 20 fish to chase it becomes an impossible task. have you considered adding some additional fish of the same species as what you have? just my thought....
  3. at this time in 1999 i was in hospital unable to move, my dad bought in a TV & i got the orderly to roll me into a position so i could watch it so it turned out i did not miss a minute of the race or the build up for that matter. I do admit is was pretty over it half way through but I had no choice but to watch every second of it. :sml2:
  4. depends on what you are keeping i think. the tangs i keep are mostly algae feeders so i don't usually feed on a sunday & they eat the algae in stead. I generally feed twice a day but occasionally only once when I am not home on time.
  5. ours started doing that when they were getting a hiding from another cat outside so didn't want to go out. does she have a litter box inside?
  6. Holden 1,2,3 & 4! just like last year???
  7. i have a 91 SS which is 336rwhp & has 13 inch disc brakes, i never drive fast
  8. the training has been going ok, he is very good in some areas & a bit useless in others. he does the sit, come etc no problem but always pulls on his lead and hasn't grasped the heel training at all. The wet days have tried the patience of my wife as he has tried to get inside & after a day of rain was getting quite mischievous. he has learnt from a small burst with a shock collar not to harrass the chickens which they seem to have picked up on & are getting close to the house again although Jordee has started to drop his head and try to heard them with is great to watch.
  9. great you could join us again
  10. i have found the following: females have rounded anal fins, males squarer. the main difference between fryeri & peacocks in shape is the incline from the top lip to the dorsal fin. A peacock has a steeper incline, fryeri has a flatter "forehead" with the eyes being closer to the top than a peacock if you get my drift.
  11. all the things alot of us did because we had to haha

  13. it is a 400ma charger so that must mean around 20 hour full charge from flat. sounds right to me.
  14. thanks. how can i work out how long it needs to be charged for? it's a 7a/h battery.
  15. i bought a hunting spot light which has a gel cell battery. i have now used it & come to charge it but i cannot locate any instructions. I don't know if there were some or not. my question is how long do i recharge it for? the charger says "auto shut off" on it & "do not over charge". I am unsure whether i should charge for 8, 18, 36 hours or somewhere in between. anyone have any ideas?
  16. wash your mouth out. that is not a window, it's a port hole.
  17. pretty sure they get milked in a cow shed.
  18. mine have always been in mid/low 7's, no drama there.
  19. i have found that if you keep a group together from young they are much more peaceful when adults. try and add an additional fish as an adult and all sorts of scraps start.
