  1. who ate all the flies  that pic was taken at night time. i just turned on the lights and sure enough the same frog is still keeping an eye on out for any developments
  2. you may be able to get a fitting similar (that has a screw fitting) if not the same as what you already have. not ideal but im using something similar for now. a couple of frogs wont create much waste, so the fish idea is a good one, just keep up with water changes.
  3. Uv light wouldn't go a miss. I'm trying a couple of these atm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Pets-animals/Reptiles-turtles/Other/auction-393825297.htm so far very happy with the colours the frogs are displaying. Cycle is ultimate, but it's too late in the day for cycling haha A little filter in the water, or small under gravel filter would help if there isn't one in there already. Couple of minnows/guppies would help cycle it, may want a heater in there depends though :dunno: .. . . . . . . . . fish = water testers? Otherwise looking good
  4. fluro yellow whistler 8) Female eyeing up a fly. Little toot basking on the left  female again male? - my favourite

  11. same thing. white + black eyes = leucistic (common) white + red eyes = albino (rare in nz)
  12. i call them axies if being lazy mexican walking fish is just another/the common?, name for axolotl i think. axolotl is also commonly miss-spelt axolotyl .. or something like that
  13. got this off tm last week this is the one, in first post above..
  14. I brought my old black axolotl inside last week. Found my leucistic dried up on the lawn a few months back, not sure how it got out. :-? Anyway, they must of bred before whitey got out. So to my surprise, i also found an almost fully grown male leucistic + 2 wild colour that are about 20cm. Anyone else with pics feel free to post them up
  15. nice fish ... i wonder if it tastes as good as it looks :cofn:
  16. kill the host = cure the weak  snails can be host to parasites. i wouldnt normally care, but have good reason to suspect they're carriers of a parasite causing deformities in my tadpoles/frogs. 99% sure i have indentified them (under microscope) in my tank. fascinating stuff, a lil :nilly: even prazi kills some snails i think. fenbendazole kills most snails, planaria maybe even hydra. good little spin offs from medicating. i no expert though, just starting to look into meds.
  17. vita pet all wormer for cats is only 25mg prazi + who knows vita pet all wormer for dogs is 50mg prazi + 542mg oxantel pamoate + 143mg pyrantel pamoate im going to see if it will kill snails
