Hmm good point there suphew. Probably only 400-450-500 :lol: . Not that high realy but considering my tank now is only like 270 high..... :lol: I will definately be going metal halide, most probably 150W.

Haha shaneo thats a good little skimmer then, tanks looking nice BTW, cant wait to see recent shots.... I will use that skimmer again once i upgrade. I wouldnt mind upgrading to a highish tank that is not so long and average front to back, around the 150L mark....

Yes the tank is definately 10mm, i just measured with calipers. 6-7mm at the top just seams like way too much, and i dont trust it so have put the middle brace back on for now. Thanks

Yer you are right with all that info Alan, I am lucky. But why did so many people, Even Warren with all the calculations, say that yes it would be sweet without it, but it wasnt, Obviously it comes down to the chase, and people saying that it will be sweet is just a guide, but you will not know until you try it.... I cant empty the tnak Alanmin because it is full of plants and fish and it is all perfect ATM. I have glued the middle brace back in (it has been sweet with this brace for a while) But still have 'F' clamps accross the tank until the silicone fuly cures. The tank is sitting half empty now until it cures aswel. I will put some other pieces underneath the edges like you said Alan, once it has dried. Thanks guys

I dropped the water level to half before i did it. I dont think i will need to drop the water that much to put euro bracing on it. I just need to put a couple clamps accross it whilst it dries..... Im gunna get some glass cut o it tommorow i think.

Just had a bit of a measure up of the whole tank and this is what i found. Each end along the top os exactly 400mm. I then measured the length accross the middle (i have a clamp across the tank holding the tank in its original place before i cut the brace off) and it sits 2-3mm further out anyway. So with an added 4mm on top of that the tank is actually bowing about 6-7mm.... I think i need euro bracing... The front will be all sweet, and for the back one i will just drill some holes in it for the filter pipes ad cables etc. As i said, i have a clamp across the top of the tank holding it in at the original place untill i figure out what im going to do.

Hi. I just cut the back siliconing on the brace off and the tank popped about 3.5-4 mm. Is that alright ?? It sounds like alot to me, and i dont want it to break!!

Haha yer the pea soup is not my favourite thing..... Especialy when people who dont know anything about fish tanks say " eww that tanks dumb, why is it green, why dont you just put the hose in there and put new water in?" etc. etc.... Um nah not fraggable yet but if it does send out a bubba and you still need one i will be more than happy to send you one.....

Hey man you could do what all the reef guys do and use a durso standpipe or something similiar. Have a read on http://www.dursostandpipes.com This way the water isnt falling very far....

I found this pic that shows the lighter part just behind its head well, notice how it has no spots through it, well not DARK ones like yours....

Yer mystic has pretty much covered everything you need to know but i wil add that if you want to breed the angels, i would suggest putting in some big swords or other plants with big leaves as they like to spawn on them. mine spawned on a marbled sword leaf this morning /me brags :lol:

Hi JDM. The main reason i havent put the skimmer on this 30L tank is because it wont fit. It is too high and the pump would take up too much space in the tank. I had the skimmer going on the 60L but decided to downgrade to a 'real' nano.
