Most of my tanks dont even have thermometers anymore, Just by putting your finger in the water a little bit you can figure out if somethings wrong. I dont worry about temp much because fish can handle a quite big range of temps, as long as they are slow changes....

In other sites i visit, mainly reef ones, they all use krylon fusion paint in there tanks. Im not sure if it is available here or not but it is absolutely safe once it is well dried

Yea there are alot of cool amazon plants out there. Some plants that i like (which arent necisarily amazon ones) are swords, crypts, tiger lotus, hairgrass and stargrass. Good luck with the tank, and dont forget the pics!!!

My mate had a 1350 x 500 x 500 tank made oF 6mm glass and it had a small chip on the top of the front pane of glass, this chip spread one morning and the result was alot of wet carpet....

I know i said i wouldnt reply again but i need to say one more thing. I believe he was trying to better the hobby, it doesnt phase me what other people say if they disagree with me. I was told by a Person on these forums (I wont say any names but this person is pretty high up in the ranks in the FNZAS) That it was he/she who smuggled Tiger Lotus into NZ. I dont know if he/she was the person who established it into NZ, but i do know that he/she told me that. He/she didnt get caught, and now the hobby is better because of that person. I think what i think, others think what they think, everyone thinks diferently, fair enough, i understand that, some people dont, but need to. IMO this thread should be deleted, i dont think we should realy discuss a forum member here should we? how would you like it if it was you?

Well, can i just say that I wazs told by a person on these forums that they smuggled a Tiger Lotus plant into NZ. I that hadnt happened, we wouldnt have that plant would we? Henry smuggled plants into NZ to try better the hobby, surely. I agree that yes he will get what he deserves because he broke the law, but, I dont think we should have a big slanging match about him etc. Thats my point of view, i wont post anyting else so i dont upset anyone...

Totally agreed, and i think that what joze said should be kept to herself, not said over a public forum.... Henry is probably reading this....

Diseases could of come in with the plants and could of been in the fish and then spread etc.. introducing new diseases wouldnt be good....

Maybe it shows how much he loves the plant hobby and how much he wants to improve it??

Whoa, thats crazy... BUT, teaches him right for doing it IMO. I bought plants off him but it was only Rotala Wallichii.... It said on alot of his auctions lately that he is selling up lots of his fish stuff etc.... Now we know why....
