I have some BBA on the driftwood in my tank. It is no where else in the tank, because the rest is plants :lol: I had some hair algae growing on some marbled sword leaves not long ago aswell so i made sure i remembered to dose the ferts each day, and i also dosed a little bit of flourish excel each day aswell, and it has seemed to have cleared up well

On a recent East coast new years eve trip i found some cool driftwood, on a HUGE driftwood beach (well thats it new name now ) The wood comes down the multiple rivers, from up in the forests, then the waves wash it onto the beach. It is all mainly the lighter stuff, but there is a bit of dark stuff aswell. I mainly got darker stuff because i like it better. Heres a couple pics of the beach that i took (excuse the female 8) ) Here it is in my 100 odd litre driftwood sinking barrel outside I took some of it out to show you And this is my latest project (with some of the new driftwood) My bristlenose breeding tank (new thread will be started on that eventually So yer, if you are heading around the top of the east coast, then i reccomend stopping in at one of the few driftwood beaches. Pics dont do these pieces justice, there are so many cool crevices in some of the pieces. And so many cool shapes...... Rogan 8)

If it looks like dropsy then it is best to euthanise. I had a female fighter with dropsy a little while ago in my 250L planted tank with heaps of other fish, so i euthanised and then watched the other fish closely for a while, and it was all sweet.

I found a fire extinguisher at work today sitting in the corner. The lever puller thingy on the top has snapped off (the top one) Im pretty sure its going to the rubbish. Do i need that part? Or could i just pull that off and put a reg straight onto the top? (unlike the one pictured which has the reg after the lever) Will any fire extinguisher bottle be sweet or what?

Yes, you should definately be able to tell if you have the 13000K or the 5500K. The 13000 should look quite blue, and the 5500K should look, as you said, a yellowy white. It *should* also say on the bulb what kelvin rating it is.....

I personally don't mind snails. I have snails in one tank, and they are millions snails. I bought 10 ramshorns once but they all disappeared for some reason As long as they don't eat plants, then they are fine IMO Anybody got any spare Ramshorns, feel free to send me some :lol: 8)

mmm so did mine 2.5 x 1 x 1 foot is a bit more than 60L's isnt it? Whats the overflow for? You going sump??? Keep the pics coming. Put a 150W halide over it pene, you know you want too

Actually i think carbon can be regenerated, i think you have to heat it up to 500 degrees or something. Not 100% sure

I took all the rock out of the tank this morning, and gave it (the tank) a clean out. The rock is in a container in the garage with the heater and sieo. I have put some cool driftwood pieces i got from the east coast into the tank and im going to make it a bristlenose breeding tank
