it is since i re-scaped. on looking at the previous photos its only moved @100mm tho. :-?

my red lobo is starting to lighten and get some distinct green colouration in a few areas. i have shifted it some time ago into slightly less light, but not by much. any suggestions would be appreciated...

alk 8 ca 420 mg 1100-1200 i had read that alk 8 was ok and only thought my mg was low as some reading suggests @1300 to be good. can you please expand a little on the alk side of things? ta.

frags are all good, just lodged in holes at the mo and getting knocked around by crabs. i was pleased i could help you so much to empty some coral out of your overgrown tank :lol:

i siphoned it and washed in s/w when i re-scaped. long term i will periodically do the same to a portion at a time, over time.

reaquascaped on saturday. happy enough to now start glueing corals in place..(wont need much glue :-? )

on closer inspection it looks like he's left the house...and its only his empty shell. so he's growing and safe in the new scheme.

this sucker seemed to be the only casualty of a total re-aquascape on the weekend. anyone know anything about its type etc?

:oops: Crikey...ive just remembered :oops: i was out windsurfing a few days ago 'before the rain' and i had to have a whiz.....it was blowing nigh on 30 knots, and i seem to recall i was facing into the wind at the critical point. some may have missed the target :-? (a trusty lion red can lashed to the mast)... this could explain alot, not the least being the ammonia result.

so you changed 2.5 % and 1 shrimp died. nothing else....nothing else looking affected?? probably because it was just coincidental. the immediate action your mate should take is to realise that stuff dies and sometimes for no apparent reason. if the w/c was poison everything would be floating by now.

i rolled about 4 coats of black. ive previously sprayed, but it seems to make alot more mess and no better job.
