I love your tank. Looks good so far. You will have to keep us updated. Deffinatly moniter your water quality. Even Big fish can be harmed from the cycling prosses. Any way you can borrow some used filter media from some on ? and stick that in your filter for awhile. We have had good results by doing this. if you want you can have some of mine if you want to come visit. Also dont write off plants totaly. You never know you might find some that the dollers dont like the tast. Just make sure they are well planted otherwise the fish will just rip them up. Keep us posted.

if only part of the mains trip. you know when you plug in one thing to much up stairs- up stairs will flick off but my room down stairs will stay on.

I was cheeky and when mum and dad renovated the house I made the electritian put two circuts through my room and I have 22 outlets . If the power in the house trips - other then a full road power cut my room is not affected .

So would i! But i got to keep my bed so he got to keep his tv, home theater and other electronical gadgets. We have some albinos in at the moment. A nice size too. And real friendly things. They do seem to grow very slowely compared to the others. THats one reason i asked if anyone elce had one. ours hes deffinatly taken a long time to grow. Also seems to be growing out not length wise. My bf nick was the one who got me in to monster fish and since he was young he had allways wanted bichers and an aro and a royal knife. Getting a sliver aro was pretty easy and albino senegalus came in every so offten so we slowely built up our clan of huge fish. It was by chance that we where in hollywood when that shipment david mentioned came in and we nabed the Del. Belive it or not we had our hearts set on an ornate. the bichers being so small we were forced to set up another tank and grow them out . But the main tank had a sliver aro, huge fire eel, royal knife and redspot plec. Hollywood contacted us when a full sized borneo came in and we added him aswell. And then hollywood conted us again when the jardini came in and we had to set up another tank . We where hoping to get a black aro but this was even better. It was 6 month - a year after this that we were forced to move from living in two houses to one and sadly the mega tv got the space a tank could of fitted in and we were forced to sell off our lovelys. its exciting to be slowely re extablishing our fish. And im eyeing up a spot in the spare room that could easly fit a mega tank.

I can easly get a baby one because of where i work and having him since small would be cool i just wish he was not bite size

So you could say im procrastinating from doing uni work right now by telling you all this!!! Naughty me. Some of you know that me and my nick had huge monster tanks just over a year ago but when moving in togeather we where forced to part with our two largest tanks. The only oddballs we kept where the delhezi bicher and my BGK.. oh and the pandon buterfly ( i allways forget him). Both have grown quite large and we soon had the problem of having no other fish in the tank not bite size. So we got some discus and its been over 6 months now and they are all happy and getting very fat. WE started tossing up the idea of geting more fish for the tank wen we saw on trade me the sale of our old tank with the borneo we sold the year previously. We offred to buy him bak but he was not for sale. This is the exciting bit! We have now got a little itty bitty borneo I cant get over how small he is but he will grow eventualy and is thankfully easy to feed as he eats discus food . Next on our list is an ornate bicher. We would love to get our hands on a large one but thats not looking possible so i think we will be forced to grow one out in my tetra tank - tetras for dinna yum yum. so pretty exciting time in my house fish wise. Also do any one elce have a delhezi?? I currently dont know of anyone in nz with one

I have 2 horses 5 cats 1 bird and 1 bf Then i have the freshy tanks and the salty tank. Discus, tetras,bichir,BGK. Clowns, shrimpy and blue legged hermit crab and corals.

Stick him in the naughty corner.

Mine is a fatty and eats anything it can get its hands/pinchers on. Some times I wish I could say no shrimpy thats a bad shrimpy and he understands

if you look in my sig there is the shops # if you are coming from long way maybe give us a call. We do our best to not shut shop but we both needed a bit of a holiday so took some time off over the brake. Also be aware we dont open on public holidays. We allways advise when we will be closed on the shop door and if we are out for a short time when we will be back. Some times we have to nip out for lunch in a quite monent .

Im so sorry about that. Sadly bryan is there mostly by him self during the week and sometimes has to close to shop for a little bit so he can sort of orders and personal obligations. Im not allways avalibe to open shop for him as im a uni student with family obliagations and two jobs . We do try our best. I hope you acept our applogy.

Yes we where closed over the public holidays sorry about that. I had put up a notice on the door a few weeks prior. Shop hours are Monday 10 -5pm Tuesday 10 -5 pm Wednesday closed Thursday 10 -5pm Friday 10 -5 pm Saterday 10 -5 pm Sunday 12 -4 pm Feel free to send me pms if you need to know something non urgent. poor little bugger died last night.

Hi wasp. He seems ok but the tail end is a little pink. Still happly eating and swimming so fingers crossed. Im just making sure he continues to eat and the water is spot on.

Thanks for the reply wasp and others. He seems to be doing ok. The tail end is nice and clean looking and he is still actively swimming around the tank. His color is back to normal and he even rased his top fin at me this morning and pulled a face. Went mad over the brine shrimp as normal and i will see if he likes nori once i find a rock to hold it down. Good thing i work in a food shop its extra cheep for me. I checked my water and its all correct. And the temp is pretty stable as i have a fan over the top on a timer. Might do more frequent water changes so it stays that way. Let just cross our fingers he keeps eating and being happy and it grows back.
