LOL. Yeah, probably a blonde question. I've only seen brackish puffers. I went to go there last year and it was $30 a person. That, to me as a student, isn't cheap! Gives me one more reason to not want to go surfing

My dogs found something on the beach. We were wondering what the heck it was, when we got near we found a dried up rather large puffer fish. I'd only seen the small ones in pet stores. This one must've been about twenty cms long. What sort of puffer would it be? Are they common? I've never seen one out and about before, let alone washed up on the beach.

It means generation one will look like the normal bristlenose, but carry the golden gene. If you cross generation one to a sibling, you have a 25% chance of getting golden, 50% chance of getting normal bristlenose carrying the golden gene, and 25% chance just normal bristlenoses.

I had a large tank which broke. I didn't know about this site or anything then. I lost all my fish except for one in the end. I know how awful that is. Haha, Alan. I'm just sick of hearing all this stuff like "have a happy holiday" and all that. I wasn't mean to snap at you or anything, but this tank was going to be my project, I originally wanted a tank over 120cm, and thought it was great I won a 140cm one. And then to be told not to worry... As for the feedback, I'm not one to tell, but let's just say I posted the link to the auction further up this thread... I might list the tank for sale now. Hopefully I can make at least what I spent back but it may be a bit doubtful considering the tank's a whole 36cm shorter than what I paid for. However, someone said they can make a brand new tank the same dimensions for $140 for me. I'll just need to wait till January to have that money though really, and hopefully I will have the money then. But that blows my December project. Oh well. It's going to be a long term thing so why not be completely happy with the tank?

No, just that reply to my feedback. It looks like she's not planning on doing anything to help. I was originally meant to go to one of my friends for Xmas, but it was called off today, which is another reason why I'm in a bit of a mood. I just make it so Christmas is just another day and try to forget about it, hard though with all the hype on the radio, TV etc. Fish are quite relaxing though, I wasn't expecting this issue to happen!

Alan - You don't understand really. At least they have someone who cares. I spend Christmas by myself. I don't care for New Years as a result. I don't have the money to buy things which aren't what they said they are. This was going to be a hobby for me to keep me going through this month. How am I meant to have a merry Christmas, if I'm bitter about everyone's doing things with their family and I have no family really to do anything with? Christmas is just another day for me. And I want to know what I can do about my tank. Yeah, probably going to be snapped at for that one, with you being a mod and all. But there is no "reason for the season" for me.

Just measure it, it's 104cm long. She obviously got confused on her auction and put 1.4metres. okay, that's fine. However, she did not reply to my email. Instead she replied to my feedback I placed on her (when I placed feedback I said I would edit it if she came back to me with some sort of arrangement) with So obviously according to them, it was my fault for not checking the dimensions, and they're saying I shouldn't have trusted whatever the auction says. Ah well.

I want a puffy fish! Hehe. I think they're really cute. However, I like having a few fish in my tank, which it sounds like the puffers don't get on well with others.

I just sold all my spare bits and pieces to my grandmother, as was going to start afresh. I wasn't expecting this! Would've had a couple of small heaters and a sponge filter too...Was more my breeding stuff (included a couple of small tanks etc). I've still got the light though, but that'd be far too small for this tank. LOL.

Mincie - I don't have any fish at the moment. I sold my community tank with the sole purpose of setting up a cichlid tank. Was going to get tank all set up first. I can't really keep it cause though it's not big enough for what I want, two tanks wouldn't fit well in my lil place! I'd have nowhere to put it really. As much as I'd love more tanks, just don't have the time, space or money. I've contacted the person selling, no response as of yet, but I'm probably just impatient as it's only the second day. I've decided I might just keep the tank and use it, if it is about 110cm when I measure it. Maybe get a bigger tank if I get too many fish last on next year. I guess it'd be cheaper buying a canister filter/light/etc.

Yeah, thanks for that, I don't mind paying a bit more, obviously though not till payday (I hate getting paid monthly! LOL). I just really want a tank up and running. I miss having fish since I sold my community tank a month or so ago!
