Ira
Here you go. Managed to get the pic and put it up on my webspace for you.
ajbroome
Thanks Ira. Well, it's obviously some sort of East African (probably Lake Malawi) cichlid. I'd guess it's one of the 'Aulonocara' species. Some sort of 'Peacock'? Andrew.
Oscar Sheila
No idea as to what it is exactely?
Caryl
Ira if you post that pic in the Community Tank CM or Fishguts is bound to be able to tell exactly what it is (assuming you haven't done this already)

Oscar Sheila
I am trying to find out what it is for another person on another forum.
Pegasus
Wish you guys would reduce the pic size to save having to scroll across the screen
Ira
Don't be lazy, pegasus!
Janey
Or get a bigger monitor
Pegasus
My monitor is 17", and my setting is 1024x768 32 bit.. and I am far from lazy, but I think anyone posting pics should keep them within a reasonable size, not only for the convenience of all viewers, but to prevent slowing the site down... and before you comment, I am running a Pen3 700mhz with 300meg mem and a 64gforce graphics card. (The old Pen died) I see little point in posting a pic that you can only see half of at any given time ... and it's even worse having to scroll across to read the text... even on a 17". The avatar size is restricted to size due to strain on the site, so the same should apply to pics. (No offence meant)
Ira
The size of the pic would have no effect on the website's servers, Unlike the avatars which are stored on the site's servers, the only thing the site deals with is the address. In this instance all the load for that picture is coming from Paradise's server because I put it on MY webspace for Sheila. That picture is only 60K which would take something like 10 seconds to download on dialup. And I'm not going to spend an extra minute or two resizing it so you can save a second because you don't have to move your mouse down and drag the slider over to see the right 1/5 of the picture. Goldie
u r so bad Ira I totally agree with Pegasus. Plse post smaller pics for I can only see half a fish at a time and thus cannot get a full view. Very pretty fish.
Caryl
Yeah, I'm with Pegasus on this one too I hate having to scroll sideways. Still can't help with the fish ID either.
Oscar Sheila
I got it down to a juvenile male Aulonocara mamelela, see the thread here.
Warren
Get a 19" or bigger and run 1600 x 1200. The PIC fits on about 2/3 of my screen 8)
