solar hot water heating

I have almost finished the solar unit itself still need to get the controllers and the rest of the plumbing. Ive got it all worked out in my head. It has a water pump that turns on when the solar unit gets hot and off when it gets to cold. Then I will have a controller that monitors the tank and if its too hot it will turn the solar water pump off. Also hooking the heaters to the system so when the solar unit is on the heaters turn off but if the tank gets too cold it will override the system and turn heaters on. So far I work out the whole thing should cost less than $100. Some materials i had laying around so makes it a bit cheaper for me but all the plumbing and electronics im buying new.

I did this to heat my 3000 litre. It was fairly basic but ran the tank over winter. Without a thermostat control I would have cooked the fish, used 2 200 L insulated drums for overnight heating.

Sneaky2 has a system on the forum in reptiles and amphibs I think.
