I doubt there's going to be much sulphur in it and it's not unusually toxic anyway. Give it a good boiling and wash, which you've done already is good enough. Just throw it in the tank. Don't stress so much.
blueether
are you worried about the tannin? the sulphur? or the shipping waste? I wouldn't worry about the first two and a good scrub should help with the last...

Ira
gud to know sulphur wont effect the fish badly ..i thought it can be toxic !!! Hydrogen, oxygen and silica can all also kill you. But if you put them together in the right proportions you get a fish tank.
David R
Are there any rotting parts on it? I've had a sulphur-ish smell when soaking wood that has had rot in it.
binu
no rot at all its fully dry ...ll upload a pic soon
alexyay
I've put a small piece in Dad's 450L tank which smells like sulpher, no issues so far. No rotting, I'm hoping soaking it in his tank for a while will get rid of the smell so I can steal it back 'cause it's a nice piece

David R
can some one pls fix this photos ..donno how to do it dumb:( Maybe not dumb, perhaps just too lazy to look? See the little box beside the photo that says "Links To Share Photos"? Hover your mouse over the question mark next to it and it will say something along the lines of "blah blah blah, use the IMG code for bulletin boards and forums". So you click on the text box where it says "IMG" and it automatically copies, and then you paste into the box here and VIOLA! Nice looking bit of wood!
