newaqua
Hello Everyone. Does anyone have ideas about which airline, and how to contact to arrange flying pets. First of all, i have read that it is fish-safe, but AirNZ and JetStar don't seem to know. Ideas?
Caryl
What sort of pets? Do they have to fly? What about the Pet Bus? They provide good service. www.petbus.co.nz
alanmin4304
Air NZ have a pet service but it is about $180 to send inter island airport to airport. I have used it for turtles and lizards. A lot cheaper by overnight courier
alanmin4304
The pet bus takes two days from Christchurch to Auckland.

newaqua
I dont have one specific type of fish, however they will be the expensive plecs; zebras etc, and some other rare plec breeds I could be looking at bringing in from contacts I made while I was abroad. Cheers
livingart
so you are talking importing fish and international flights with more information the conjecture stops and answers are no longer like winking at an attractive woman in a darkroom
alanmin4304
If you are looking at importing yourself you will need an approved quarantine facility. If you are looking at using an existing facility then they will already have prefered airlines.

newaqua
Sorry guys, I am simply talking about domestic flying in NZ. The contacts can get them to Auckland for me, through all the approved people/places/maf etc. I am simply wanting to fly them, rather than leave them with the couriers. Godly3vil
I would trust them with couriers before an airline, they may not let them on board if they have strange markings on their skin that look like a tattoo.........
livingart
post haste overnight to CHCH
