Wellydave Posted March 11, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 11, 2013 right as promised update time! so tanks been looking awesome ever since the algae has disappeared hair algae is gone and so are the daitoms but there is some bubble algae hanging in there so slowly removing it when i can. also got some joes juice the other day and used it on every aptasia i could see and it seems to have done the trick think they are mostly gone have seen a couple small ones popped up today so got them as well. also stopped in at wonderworld on saturday on the way up to auckland for the night and had a chat to the guy there who told me they have perc clowns on order at the moment and they should arrive next week and be ready 3 weeks after that so all going well the tank will get its first fishy inhabitants in around a month or so :thup: also i have started seeing heaps and heaps of these little bugs scurrying around the tank and i have no idea what they are dose anyone know?? close up lots on the sand anyways heres some pics there are quite a few sorry hope yall enjoy (comments, criticism and suggestions welcomed) FTS blue fts new mushroom rock and palys/zoa rock added friday right side left side close ups top down temp and lighting control and one last shot to finish off Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wellydave Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 13, 2013 couldnt give you a exact price but i would say its at least $1500 tank was $250 then lights were $450 then theres all the other stuff like pump, wave maker, sand, salt, corals, live rock, filter media, cuc and so on but a little birdy has told me there are soon to be some awesome all in one nanos comming out specificly for salt water with good quality gear that should not need to be upgraded and they wont be too badly priced (not made by a big name company but combining the best gear from the big name companys to create a awesome all in one package) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wellydave Posted May 30, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 30, 2013 little while since the last update and i have my first fish two baby percs thanks to cookie extreme(nzmas) in auckland also added more frags thanks to brendon (also nzmas) and yesterday added a couple more zoa frags some pinks (all open and looking good) and some blue centers that are yet to open fully as they were ones that had come loose from the colony at the lfs thanks to a pecking raccoon butterfly but they are definately trying haha had a problem with aiptasia lately got some aiptasia x the other day and blasted the tank with it and today the tank looked great i could only find one that i missed so that got a blast as well any way will take some new pics tomorrow and upload them cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wellydave Posted May 31, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 31, 2013 righto here yall go some updated pics, still all taken on the iphone so qualitys not the best and tank looks more pink than it is but you get the idea haha also a little video down the bottom of the silly clowns trying to host a hammer/frogspawn that still hasnt had a chance to open fully since i got it as these two just wont leave it alone haha zoas sps frags branching monti (only glued in that spot temporarily until i decide where to put it) zoa garden blue centers that had fallen off the colony at lfs so i glued them to some lr rubble i had in the back of the tank recovering well and also a small mixed frag i took from my mixed colony cool little fan worm i spotted hammer neon green hairy mushrooms and last photo the latest fts and the video of the clowns Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
