Jaide
I have a small corner of my tank that's been partitioned off, that I now what to remove. The silicon is very thin so I can't get my box cutter knife between the sections. Is there any way to easily remove the silicon other than by cutting it? GrahamC
You could try a strong solution of acetic acid.
trinox
The only way i have ever used is just using a craft knife blade to get into the tight gap.
Jaide
If I was to knock it gently at the seam, would the glass loosen to come away in one part or will smashing it be the only answer? I can't completely empty the tank as it still contains fish so acetic acid is not an option unfortunately.
GrahamC
How about some fine metal wire used like dental floss if you can get at both sides of the glass?
Hamstar99
try using a razor blade. Once you get started you should be able to pull the divider away giving you more room to work with.
blueether
I have found the best thing for this sort of job is thin ~10 - 15kg? braided fishing line
F15hguy
I agree that super braid will cut anything especially fingers so make sure to wrap it around something other than your fingers
alanmin4304
I use a one sided razer blade. Should be easy enough in a corner because there should not be much glass/glass contact.
Jaide
I had some fishing line and threw it away I'll see if I can source some more, otherwise I'll give the razor blade option a go. Thanks for the help everyone
