Secondhand tank - silicone question

Hi

Have bought a secondhand glass tank and I cannot feel any silicone in the corners inside the tank.

Is this ok?

I am used to seeing and feeling the silicone in tanks.

Was told the tank was used up until 6 weeks ago.

Thanks

Karina.

Look around the edges, if it looks like it is lifting/is lifting, REDO

Look at the joins where the edges of glass meet, if you can see gaps/bubbles/moisture REDO

If you want the piece of mind that it will last the next 5 years easy REDO

Re-doing silicone on a well built tank is fairly easy, the hardest part is having to sit there with the glass and clean every bit of the old stuff off that you can...

Search the threads in DIY section, there heaps of info and I believe even a how-to somewhere....?
