Polystyrene rocks

Hi guys,

So i'm thinking about making polystyrene rocks similar to how backgrounds are made, (carving it into shape, plastering with cement then sealing)

Has anyone done this before?

Any tips to get them to sink? I'm thinking about putting a rock in the middle to weigh it down.. any suggestions?

haha I am going to start lifting the hose aswell, GREAT IDEA! :slfg:

Lifting the hose doesn't do anything. the fuel shuts off at the nozzle, not the pump. and the hose is always completely full of fuel so you can only shake the nozzle to get the last few drops in the end of it.

Fake rocks are good if you have problems with the weight of real rocks. If not then real ones are best IMO. petrol is the best to melt poly, just make sure you clean it well after.

I suggest putting a real rock in the middle. :)

Iwonder how well a good squirt of superglue would melt the polystyrene? Any that's ever melted a massive hole in their brand new foamy RC plane when they used regular superglue will have experience with this.
