shell
Wow. Certainly looks like its thriving. Would be great to see and use more native plants. What temp do you have the tank at?

shell
Looks great. At least if I ever set up a native tank I know who to ask for moss I thought Doc or Niwa was looking at temp limits of some native plants - but there never was much info on which plants and where to get them. Only a short article on their website.

Nymox
Trick is finding it in conditions similar to the tank already. That piece was at the top of a waterfall completely submersed, in good sunlight. It had L.A. written all over it. So a 3 hour hike carrying a piece of moss while the tourists contemplated if it was a local delicacy, then strait to the village and into the tank, I am glad it is doing so well. Mikey
Are there any Koura in there with it? Just wondering what impact they might have on moss, and whether it is even worth trying to get some into my tank.
blueether
Mikey, I have moss and 2 koura in my ~430l tank and they dont seem to touch it, the hardest thing I find is keeping the cyano from growing on it

purplecatfish
The wider 'leaves' on the LHS of the last photo make me think it might be a 'fern' or 'filmy fern', not quite a moss from a botanical sense.
livingart
yes i thought so too still trying to find specific species
