whitesandals
Is there a way to unstunt a growth of a pleco? If so, what method would someone use? Type of pleco Hemiancistrus.
Joshlikesfish
This doesn't happen to be the L128 on TM? Some people reckon you shouldn't try and power grow them etc etc... But I don't see a problem with increasing water changes and feeding quality food
jamosfish
If it is an adult plec there is nothing you can do for it. If it is still a young one then you can get more growth out of it by providing optimal conditions, high volume and quality food is a start. Keep your water perfect and stable. Minimise all stress to the plec. What makes you believe it is Stunted? Also don't forget that not all plecs grow to what websites state, some are bigger some are smaller. The sizes shown on planetcatfish and other sites are averages and general trends of size.
henward
i find that aliot of plecos on TM may never grow again, from past experience, people have this impression that plecos dont need food and they eat poo and just what ever is on the walls hence stunting them

Joshlikesfish
eat poo? really sometimes people amaze me You'd be surprised with what people come up with "If I get this sucky fish I wont have to change the water anymore right?"
Caryl
You can better the health of a fish but not "unstunt" it. Once the damage is done, usually by not feeding enough or correctly when young, it is permanent.
