the other thing that might work is to get something bigger length and width across the bottom but if practical make it a bit shallower so Turtle has more room to hang out but doesn't have more water volume so costs about the same to heat. That's what I did with the loach tank, didn't upsize depth wise but they got more space to zip about. That sort of tank might be a custom build though.

 I saved a few hundred on this tank buying it second hand. But there is a 8' tank in bulls for $100 less than what I paid for this tank :digH: :slfg:

I know he doesn't, but Id like to keep the danios as it adds a bit if movement to the tank, yes I've tried WCMM didn't last long :P also the part that if he lives outside with no heat (theres only one place that is undercover) and I hardly go pass there. Where his current tank is, I sit down and watch TV with him. He loves attention; if you walk past the tank without saying hello and stopping he splashes water everywhere :slfg:

And Sophia, I thought about doing that 1m x 1m x 20cm =200L :digH:

Wow... Mums had a sudden change in heart, if I can find a black cabinet for it to sit on, then I can have it inside and keep it!
You do realise that's the same "woman logic" you mentioned on the previous page. When it comes to Mums, I find hard facts don't really work, you need to tug on their heartstrings a bit

Gotta go get my scooter brakes fixed today eep.

So much 'Up" here I can hardly keep 'Up" with it

Son left Auckland today to live and work in Ashburton

DD1 has today started a new job in the city

DD2 passed NCEA Level 3 - missed only 1 paper (will never know how as no work done all last year)

Hubby and I had our Yellow Fever and Typhoid Vaccinations today - now to wait 3-10 days to see if a reaction sets in

Trying to find replacement brake cable for my Suzuki QT50 50cc Scooter, it's super old so I can't find it anywhere. Any bikies out there know where I might find some? I checked scootling.co.nz to no avail but I'll ring them sometime, don't really want to drive 2hrs into town with shot brakes.

My mate had a problem with his scooter (I think it was a battery issue can't remember now) and he took it in to the local motorcycle shop. They fixed it up for him easy. His scooter has done 15K Kms+ now and a few years old now. Maybe try a few of them?

I recieved my Lindernia rotundifolia today. The plant was perfectly fine, however the box was severely cracked and broken. Good example of why you should not send plants in plastic boxes unless it is made from good quality plastic. I was most displeased with this. Also, apart from the plant I ordered, I also got three other freebies which really annoyed me. I really don't see the point in giving people freebies unless you have asked them before sending the package. The reason being is, like in my situation, they might have no use for freebies or no room. So the seller has just wasted around $8 worth of good quality plants that he could have held on to and sold to someone else who wanted those particular plants. I ended up chucking two out and I kept one because I kind of felt it was a bit of a waste. The freebies were Ludwigia arcuata, gladulosa and repens. I already have repens, so I chucked that and the glandulosa and kept the arcuata.

I'm not having a dig at them or anything, it just seems silly to me to give people free stuff when you can keep it and sell it to a customer and make a bit of extra cash. I'm not wanting to start a word war or anything here, and I am impressed with the quality of the plants, although I just think the freebie thing is a bit silly and because of the poor packaging the plants could have been damaged.
