critter_crazy
It's a slippery slope CC I have a terrible case of MTS! I'm eyeing up the bay window in the kitchen as a place to put a minimalist hardscaped 3ft with a couple of fantail goldfish :spop:

Carlos & Siran
Starting to feel the calving season bite , 9 dropped so far, days are getting longer, start in the dark and finish in the dark. On the plus side the new heifers are nice and quiet in the shed and are easy to train, which is a relief as when we first got here they were nutters, running all over the place when we fed out. Had to get the vet to cut a calf out of a heifer yesterday, she's got a touch of paralysis and we're having to stand her a couple hours a day, but she'll recover. We employed a young(very) fulla a few weeks ago and he's struggling a bit, seems to have real trouble listening to and absorbing instructions(though I think this is a young male trait as our 15yo is as bad) both myself and the manager are trying very hard to be patient and understanding, but as things get busier and more stressful that may become an issue, I've yet to decide if he's going to make it but we'll see. I bought a new bike for work today, an AG200, looking forward to having my own bike again, it gets delivered tonight so that'll be fun.... si_sphinx
I would come work for you if I lived up that way and give you a hand. I miss the country. Ive just bought a house :nilly: and I move in in 3 weeks :happy2: :happy1: I have sold all my cichlids in my big tank, which was a very hard thing to do BUT, it will make the move easier. And I get to do the needed alterations to the sump and add an automatic water change system. I was planning to convert my now empty tank to marine but after going round and seeing another forum members planted tanks.... Ive changed my mined  So keep an eye out for my new set up coming soon, with a lot of Qs im sure, which should involve a lot of plants, wood, discus, tetras, plecos, cories and what ever else will look good in the tank. critter_crazy
Ohhh those white clouds do look cool, but mums really keen on goldfish.. of all the fish out there  Algae would be a massive problem but to be honest I kinda like the look of green rocks so would just have to give the glass a clean before waterchanges :nilly: I want a pet cow

Joshlikesfish
Theres a spiney eel thats around 15-20cm. So keen to take it home :nilly: Fire eel was like 40cm. They're actually pretty friendly! I would definitely have one as a personality pet, not just one that looks cool.
David R
Are they the ones at Animates Botany? I saw them the other day, probably the best looking fire eels I've seen imported in years, fat, healthy, colourful and a good size too. Sophia
and so close to a bakery..... I think you specifically requested Mt Eden so you could eat cakes in easy proximity to your work but far enough that you don't have to share with your brother haha :gigl:
Joshlikesfish
How far away is it!? I know there is a nice cafe a wee bit away.
Sophia
there's that big french bakery/caferight next door to you.... !drool: and in other news, today we discovered that the hot water cylinder has died, no hot water and a leak. Luckily it's downstairs in the garage so no floor damage and no plumber will need to traipse through the house. However the landlord just about had a heart attack when I told him and hasn't rung me back with a solution yet. I hope my day gets better from here

Joe
I cleaned my room yesterday. Heaps of tidying, dusting and vacuuming. But it was definately worth it because it looks so much better now and I have lots of space.
