ryanjury
Just helping d-hawk here he has already told me the tank is three foot long, 36cm high and 32 deep. I know it has been said before but what type of cichlids are you interested in d-hawk? Dwarf cichlids? Central american? African etc? What colours do you hope to get.. With that tank size you are pushing it for most african cichlids, you could do gold shellies or some jullies or dems when smaller but ideally even they would need a bigger tank. Peacocks/yellows would be ok for a while as well but would probably need more room eventually too.
D-Hawk
are americans smaller than africans? or other small cichlids? thanks
supasi
are americans smaller than africans? or other small cichlids? thanks Depends what American you are talking about. Same goes with the Africans. Americans go from a few CM in size to a few feet, vice versa with africans
Joshlikesfish
Rams and apisto are nice and suit planted tanks

Joe
I think you should go for Apistos, which will suit that tank nicely. African setups are much nicer when they're bigger - 120x60x60 would be great, but since your tank is small, you have to make do with it. I think you should get: A pair of Apistogramma agassizii 'Double Red' A pair of Rams A trio of Apistogramma hongsloi 15 Cardinal Tetras 2 or 3 small fancy Plecos Lots of plants! ryanjury
lol good luck getting all of those fish But good suggestion, I would probably drop it down to the 1 pair of apistos and one pair of rams maybe even ditch the rams in favour of some kribs or something like that because the rams are pretty hard to look after, well some have luck but most usually loose them quite quickly and they are expensive fish. Joe
Oh yes I forgot about Kribs Get the Pelvicachromis taeniatus instead of the P. pulcher. They are much, much, MUCH nicer looking fish
