Joe Posted January 26, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2011 I think it is repulsive how people line-breed, inbreed and selectively breed animals to get something that looks much more disgusting than the original species. I have seen some hidious Dwarf Cichlid mutations before, like Golden Rams for example. And everything that is albino just makes me sick! doddle69 Posted January 26, 2011 Report Share Posted January 26, 2011 They need to be kept at about 25 degrees and require other special care, so that's why they aren't stocked in petshops. There are three naturally occuring colours: Red-headed (the most common of the three Gouldian colours) Yellow-headed (their head isn't actually yellow, it is orange; red with yellow pigment - which gives it the orange colour) Black-headed (the colours of these are more of a chalky texture, and the breast is lilac rather than strong purple).
