piggyvir
Hi there My plants are not growing straight for some odd reasons... I have a CO2 system (but it's pretty useless) with 3 T5 tubes. What should I do to make my plants grow straight???? Cheers Vir
phoenix44
They are probably getting more light of a usable spectrum from the direction in which they are growing. What colour are the tubes (The K rating / type) and how old are they?
Jennifer
They look fine to me in terms of directional growth - plants don't always grow in a perfectly straight line. If they were reaching all in one direction I would be concerned they weren't getting enough light from above.
piggyvir
I just know they are T5 lighting, and the tank is sitting against the windows which got direct sunlight too. Should I keep all 3 tubes or start reducing light perhaps?

piggyvir
thanks everyone !! I will try to block the sunlight and see how it goes I keep on adding fertiliser and thinking that's the issue
alanmin4304
If you are not getting algae problems why block the light? Sometimes a combination of sunlight and artificial can work well. The sunlight is best from the top but not always easy to arrange.
Jennifer
Are they growing toward the window? In the photo it didn't really look like they were all growing in one direction.
Sophia
i had some light loving plants planted along the back of a tank where there was a single T8 tube in the middle all the plants at the back always grew up and then towards the middle no matter what I did they just like the light
piggyvir
They are growing towards the back and left hand side where natural light comes in... I have now blocked the light and see how it goes.
