Morcs
Some of you may already have seen this, but for the benefit of others... Put in your filtration and tank size, and it can either suggest suitable species and stocking levels, or tell you if you have adequate filtration, whether your fish are actually too small for the tank etc... Minus my dats (largest potential fish I have) my stocking was 128% Its pretty good, new species and filters are being added all the time. http://www.aqadvisor.com/AqAdvisor.php Gives an output like this: Warning: Ornate Bichir is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space. Warning: At least 5 x Silver Dollar are recommended in a group. Note: Bristlenose Pleco needs driftwood. Warning: Bala Shark is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space. Warning: At least 5 x Bala Shark are recommended in a group. Recommended temperature range: 25 - 26 C. [Display in Farenheit] Recommended pH range: 6 - 7.5. Recommended hardness range: 5 - 15 dH. You have plenty of aquarium filtration capacity. Your aquarium filtration capacity for above selected species is 187%. Recommended water change schedule: 40% per week. Your aquarium stocking level is 128%. yhbae
Hi guys, I am the creator of AqAdvisor.com. I have been developing it for about 10 months now and it has been live for about 4 months. All initial data came from either my own experience or from profile sites (and you know how inconsistent those sites are), so not all data is accurate. I do take expert feedback seriously though, and I do intend to make the site data accurate one way or another. For more common species, I believe the site gives you pretty good reports. I do need more feedback for less common species though. I will go through each of your responses on this thread - I'd appreciate if you could give me some feedback on your setup. Thanks!
