SamH
200cm x 36cm = 7200 x 30cm = 216000 216 Litres You're welcome
phoenix44
minus, the gap at the top of the tank where most don't fill water, stones, gravel, (fish even) , plants, accessories etc etc
SamH
200cm x 36cm = 7200 x 30cm = 216000 / 1000 = 216L/150 Phoenix Litres  Maybe he wants it as a full, bare bottomed breeder tank?
twinkles
the tank calculator on here is great, its on the homepage under technical. Why bother working the maths out when it can do it for you, and tell you the likely weight too
SamH
I just do it all on a calculator and doesn't 1 litre weigh about 1 kg?
twinkles
yup, but it tells you the glass weight (average) too. I find it just as quick as opening my calculator so i've got into the habit of using it. Good if you're thinking about building or dividing up a tank too, cause you can change one of the inputs around quickly to see how much space it would give you. twinkles
lol, true true i learnt all my maths at school, but there seems to be very little call for it in real life.
SamH
200cmx30cmx36cm divided by 1000 = 216L 200cm x 36cm = 7200 x 30cm = 216000 / 1000 = 216L/150 Phoenix Litres  Great minds think alike! So a 2ft cube would be 60cm x 60cm = 3600 x 60cm = 216000 / 1000 = 216L What a coincidence, I just bought a 2ft cube...
