justyns
hi guys i have a 620t tank with 3 angles, a few tetras, clown loachs and zebra danios. the zebras have been goin crazy last few weeks so I guessed it was them, eggs all up the side of the pump intake. But the wierd thing is one of the angles seemed to be guardin them, kept other fish away and would not even eat when feed. But then after second day all the eggs were eaten what fish eggs were they do u think? Is it worth trying to get them to breed again? Caryl
If the eggs are stuck up the side of something they are angel eggs. That would also explain why the angel was guarding them so fiercely Danios are egg scatterers. Worth trying to get them to breed again, they will probably keep laying eggs anyway but unless you have a pair they won't hatch. Females will lay eggs whether a male is present or not. Ira
hi guys i have a 620t tank with 3 angles Cool, I like triangle tanks. , a few tetras, clown loachs and zebra danios. the zebras have been goin crazy last few weeks so I guessed it was them, eggs all up the side of the pump intake. But the wierd thing is one of the angles seemed to be guardin them, kept other fish away and would not even eat when feed. But then after second day all the eggs were eaten what fish eggs were they do u think? Is it worth trying to get them to breed again? Let's see...You have a tank full of tetras that scatter their eggs all over, Clown loaches that have never (Afaik) been bred in an aquarium and angels who lay their eggs on surfaces and happen to be the ones guarding these unidentified eggs...I know who I'd be betting they belong to.
justyns
ok cool thanks for that, yes my guess was the angles but have heard they are hard to breed. so the one doin the guarding is female or male? I am pretty sure my black one and black and brown have paired up. How can I get them to breed again and what can i do with the eggs? cheers

livingart
Ira do exactly the same as you did the last time to get them to lay again sometimes the first few spawnings can be a non event good luck
LYNDYLOO
Have to agree on the Angels being the ones that laid the Eggs Sometimes it may take a couple of goes for them to work out what they are meant to be doing with their Eggs Good Luck with them, Raising Angels Fry can be quite demanding, I breed Angels for awhile, to end up with not many at the end of it all.
