Ira
You suck. Seriously. The water pump that supplies my house with water has died, totally siezed up. I have a job interview in a couple hours. I need a shower badly. And a replacement pump is going to be $1000 and probably won't be able to get it until monday, unless I take it in on the way to the interview. Wok
Dear Ira. Sorry about the inconvenience, However, grab your bar of soap and shampoo and step outside. I have provided you with running water. Regards Murphy.
Ira
Actually, I've been outside for the past 40 minutes doing a replumbing job so I can get a little water siphoning slowly into the house. I think what I'll be doing is having a very shallow bath. Which, I better go do now.

Ira
Why do you need 145ft head? Just curious Because that's normal mains water pressure.
smidey
Because that's normal mains water pressure. is that what it had originally? what is your hot water cylinder setup for, mains or low pressure?
Ira
My hot water is low pressure. And yes, the old pump was similar pressure, Just the new one has the same head capacity, roughly double the flow and using a bit less electricity. whetu
How'd your interview go? Caper ... and did the interviewer hold his/her nose and say "smells like something died in here"? If so, that might not be such a good sign.
