northland chic
i think its funny and its in the off topic fishroom so obviously not serious otherwise it be in cichlids or freshwater. Also Silvia-15 takes good care of his fish so I doubt he woud really be brainless enough to do this. But poor oscar! I wonder how many new fishkeepers have this same scenario at home and don't even realise.
Sharkie
I THINK THAT THE PROBLEM WITH HIS LACK OF APERTITE MAY BE DUE TO THE FACT HE'S LONELY ...SO LOOK TO GET A SIMILAR SIZED OSCAR TO PUT IN WITH HIM.
Lucid
Of course Silvia is joking, hes a fantastic fish keeper! (Mystic was in fits of laughter!)
northland chic
A friend is an excellent idea maybe a school of neons or another oscar!
Rozski
nah nah, hes fine in there. Just do daily 90% water changes (he'll enjoy playing in the shallow water)
Ira
I think you guys have it all wrong. That's a scuba tank, he's just waiting for some wheels to be put on it so he can drive around.

David R
I think you guys have it all wrong. That's a scuba tank, he's just waiting for some wheels to be put on it so he can drive around. Like the Far Side cartoon with the people sitting on the beach and the fish in a bowl with wheels driving up the beach around them... Silvia that tank needs a bottom feeder to clean up after the messy oscar, should get a red tailed catfish... Simian
and a redspot pleco for algae control
Southerrrngirrl
I think he's not happy with his tank. They should totally add some more plastic plants, and one of those air operated diver thingys, and one of those sea chest decorations that opens and bubbles. He'd totally love it! lmsmith
I think a skull with a bubbler would be cool. Maybe some BIG rocks for him to hide in?? Maybe he feels out in the open.
Lucid
Add a Pacu - that would go well, and a bunch (100 or so for such a big tank?) of Neons! Oh! And a Clownfish! Lucid
Southerrrngirrl
Oh and don't forget snail control.. so.. what some clown loaches? Don't forget the prefer to be in groups of at least 6.
lmsmith
I think clown loaches are a good idea. Maybe some discus. They'll make sure you have lots of colour in the tank.
Silvia-15
thanks for all the suggestions guys, but i think i might be overstocking with pacus and rtcs... maybe ill get a fx5 so there is enough filtration Just so you know, i i dont actually own an oscar. and this thread is purely a joke as i wanted my 2nd star post to be a joke furthermore, this is also an exaggerated picture of alot of real tanks out there. alot of pacus and giant gouramis and arowanas are housed in sub-par conditions. so if any newbies out there are looking at this, its NOT what you should do.
