supasi
Stage 2 The tank for the crypts is now complete. (what a mission, was the first time Ive attempted to make a tank, so excuse the messy silicone, lol) The water is pumped using a 600 litre per hour pond pump.So the water will hav a constant flow. Now that the water test is complete(after a reseal because of a tiny leak) the tank is going to be moved inside. I wish I didnt have to work so I could spend more time doing things I enjoy. to be continued......

alanmin4304
Some crypts can grow very tall when emersed so make sure you put the big ones in the lowest partition. Looking good so far.

alanmin4304
Pictures of emersed leaf growth would also help people identify plants that have been commercially grown emersed.

Navarre
Hi Simon, I just have some Q's for you. Why the bubbler? Do you "dose" the water with nutrients? Did you put ferts in the potting mix? What temps are you running the tank at and what is the photo period? Sorry for the 20 questions but just interested. Navarre

Navarre The bubbler is to create water movement, evens out the temp. also create humidity by splashing water upward. At this stage no water dosing as they will be moved to cascading tank when it warms up at nights more. Yes fert in potting mix water temp is 26 air tem 20- 26 , upper temp when lights are on. 12 on 12 off, equator times, lol Next question?
alanmin4304
By changing the photosynthesis period you can often induce them to flower. When well established you can either extend or decrease the time the lights are on. Do you have natural light as well? They are looking pretty healthy.
