I am looking at building a couple of false bottom terrariums but can't find any. Also I am after some industrial light reflectors similiar to the exo terra heat lamps for my diy lighting, any help would be appreciated. owen Posted January 29, 2008 Report Share Posted January 29, 2008 eggcrate is what they call florescent light defuser overseas, not the cardboard that eggs come packed in.. you may find it in bunnings, carters or placemakers. It would probably be with the big sheets of ply etc. If you cant find it, there are many other materials you could use. I made a false bottom out of a seed tray, and I made another out of polystrene.. as for reflectors try hardware or lighting shops, and ring around. I have a section of stainless that is polished 1200 mm long( part of a chimney flue kit) I have used these and they work well. Yours if you want to pick it up. I'm in Massey.
