cesarz
Hi All, I've just recently purchased a 4.5 inch long guppy female with beautifully coloured tail. Does anyone know how big guppies can get? Cheers, cesarz
livingart
that is a big guppy, some females do get very large overtime.

livingart
That's big enough to put a saddle on. if it was a male it might be Patrick Guppy, the Man from Atlantis tv series a few too many years back
evilknieval69
Showing your age eh mark?
cesarz
The giant female is pregnant hopefully with the giant males but there were only tiny males in the tank with it when I bought it. My male guppies are afraid of it except for a tiny one-inch half black male.

cesarz
Will try to get pics and yes KA you can have some of the first female drops. I talked to the supplier who I managed to find but he said he got rid of all his guppies and that was the last lot in HFF. Some other people must have these same strain by now. Also what he said impressed me "he keeps the guppys outside in a big tank in summer without any heater"
Caryl
Guppies are commonly kept outside over summer in warmer areas. My ponds outside are warmer than the tanks inside in summer. Pond raised fish will be bigger and more colourful (my barbs certainly were)
