Feeding dragons

Yeah, as babies, feed them as much as they can eat. A few times a day if possible. 80/20 is good. When older they can eat too much, sort of like us, they get a fat, and stop being so active. Every couple of days is fine, once a day. During their wintering months they may only eat every couple of weeks.

alot of stuff you can get out of your own garden, worms, praying mantis, moths, earwigs etc.for just one or two would not be that hard to keep the food up.I gave one of my last years runts that had had its tail tip nipped off by its siblings to a friend. She raised it on earth worms from her garden a culture of mealworms, salads of dandelion, mesculan etc and some commercial pellets(that it did not like)and it is now the biggest heaviest healthy lizard you would find(with a short tail)

hi guy's,

we have four beardie dragons, we feed them mealworms, we bought a 200gm of mealies$12.00 we put them in 4lt ice-cream container full of unprocessed bran from your super market $2.00, sliced carot and a sheet of newspaper, the mealworms do their cycle worm, beetle, grub and more mealies that was at xmas and they are still going strong more worms than they can eat.

they eat lettuce as well(not ice-berg) they love that frilly red-green one.

they love cockroaches as well.

the beardies food container has gutload in it which the worms eat while waiting their fate that way the beardies get their added vitamins and calcium.

hope this is of some help.

Top for the adult locusts/breeders and bottom for incubating/hatching the eggs and have some waxmoth/worms under the newspaper

Not the best but it works and cost me next to nothing, any questions fire away!
