  1. How about some pics of your low phostphate tank r&b
  2. .O3 is high, however the salifert does go lower as you mentioned, I dont think if you get a reading of zero on the test kit it still means your phostphate is high. some phostphate is good for coral, even the ocean is not zero acording to eric borneman. i think anthing above .03 is high. I am sure the Deltec/Merck test kits will be as accurate based on the German test results. The hanna meter has know to be out. Ro should be flat zero and a good phostphate remover should remove all phostphates. But it all comes down to dollars, How many people are going to spend $300 on a colormeter . the lowest the hanna will go is only .01 stu at hollywood had his tank tested by a lab, it was .008 and the salifert said zero, so i think this is close enough .
  3. well i dont know if that is correct as the salifert goes down to .03. But it does not read much lower. why would ro have any phostphates??, should it not be zero. The accuracy of the photo meter is ±0.04 mg/l, ±4% of range Has anyone tried the Deltec test kit ??. just about to order and try it and see how rates against my colormeter.
  4. The phostphate level coming from the ro/di unit is not that impressive. are you sure the colormeter is reading correctly?/

    Ideal Prices

read the question, specific live stock eg yellow tank $130
  15. hahaha , i can answer it but what for, its all been covered over and over and over etc etc . yes i would, so that is why i justify the pricing for what shop charges, The rest of the stock normally sells over 3-4 weeks.
  16. Totally off the mark. If i even did half of that i would be really happy. pointless getting into costings as you will turn it around again to suit your needs. absolutley the prices are fair, why discount when hobbyist go in and choose the best items and then leave them with the rest. They will discount if you buy more.
  17. You just proved the point that you dont have any idea on stock prices and always quote the high prices. Might not have been adverised, but my prices have been reducing anyway due to the US dollar getting better. I looked back at my stock list from a year ago and they are a little lower. so what are you going on about, How would you know anything about coral discounts when you never buy coral/fish, I am aware of a number of times that i have reduced prices. You did not comment about the flame angels that were only $130 etc. because you did not see it. I dont have to discount anything as i always do them at a reasonable price. But i choose to at my risk to satisfy everyones needs. ONCE AGAIN WHY are they low now, whats changed from last month.??? .Nick did say this, but steve keeps reminding us of the US prices which they will match. AS i said i am trying it, never said it was 800 ever month. trying to do it for your benefit everyone. What else do you want me to do to reduce prices,?? what is a far price for a coral.?/ eg acropora.. I bet you want it to be $40
  18. That is why it needs to be win/win. It does not help if everyone does there own thing. Like i said if you want wholesale prices go to a shop and neg a deal for 20-30 coral etc. I dont think this will happen as not many people have the cash.
  19. As again selected coral are more expensive from overseas exporters as they charge more if it has more colour not all coral are over $100, who has ask a shop if they buy 20-30 will they get a discount,?? i bet no one , as everyone goes in and picks 2-3 of the best coral and leaves the rest until another shipment comes in.
  20. I am only giving you a example, i did not want to spend 2-3 hours writing a novel. It depend on what you are into, i think they are great fish and the problem is that most people dont even see the nice angels in adult colours like a blue face angel, queen angel etc. Some prices are high sometimes on selected items, however there are are also some good pricing. \ etc zoos for $60-$70 leathers for $60-$80 coral beauty $70-$80 Powder blue tang $120
