  1. Caryl, did you test using any of the pH test strips. Personally, I don't like them. I was excited when they had the other kind back at the store, till I realized it was the only one and package had been opened! Caper
  2. Other than the closed fins on FINFIN, any other "symptoms"? Caper
  3. I use it; our water has chlorine and water pipes are copper I think mine is 1 tsp/10 gallons. I use 4l water jugs to add water so I add 1/2 tsp to each jug. Caper

  7. I had an ammonia kit that was supposed to be good till 2008. Bought more than a year ago. Once I used up my other kit, I started testing my tanks with this one. Ammonia was up. Numerous water changes, no change in readings. So one day did a 50% change in one of the tanks, when tested, ammonia was higher. I thought that is insane! Went and bought a new test kit, things were fine! Caper

  11. I read the rules again for linking to other sites so I hope I'm doing this right! It's on a web page from "The Age of Aquariums". I was just wondering what you wise "Salty" people think of this set up. I guess I thought you had to have tanks, like I've seen here & other places, to have these kind of fish. This person is obviously doing this, so it must work then???? http://www.aquahobby.com/tanks/e_tank0504.php Caper
  12. OH MY GOSH...she is absolutely adorable All the hair she has I think the hair & heartburn thing are an old wive's tail. 16. I wonder if the shrimp pellets you folks have are different than the ones here. I find if the fish don't eat them immedialtely they start to dissolve fairly quickly? Caper
  17. Is that fish whistling? What kind of fish is he/she? (the last photo) You've have your fish well trained for getting their pics taken! Caper
  18. I'm confused :-? no surprise! So, exactly how does this work? You attach it to your tap? Sucks the water out of tank, then somehow change "something" & add water to tank? But when do you add the water conditioner? Can you vacuum with it? Caper
