  3. no, not this year got blu ray and dvd vouchers:D man! why is it that hobbies have to be expensive, my hobbies anyways. Cars, Entertainment centre and arowanas
  4. also i have a auto water changer, i assumei turn this off to ensure the meds work? how long do i keep th emeds in there for and start water changing again? does it work with in hours? full details of how to use and what to do would be awesome. side effects that are observed too. does it stunt growth to medicate them?
  5. should i make 'discus tucker' part of their diet? i hear that garlic once chopped and exposed to air too long the anti parasitic stuff becomes null? true? adtape - where does one obtain such alchemical concoctions? also, does that deform their bodies? as someone said, one dented its body, is this adtape? or adtape a not very invasive?
  6. lol we are sick, im 27 and i still find that type of cake awesome:D lol
  7. yeah, i have seen adult with indent in the body. i am not too keen on treating universally. i think wtih a good diet, with good vitamins, their bodies can fend off worms before onset? correct me if i am wrong (calling all discus gurus out there)
  8. ok im not the most IT person anyways, im MFK, i am going to stickies and posts with pictures. but it wont load the pictures jsut text. the picture is a rectagular box saying "thumbnail attached" can somene help me load these pics? thanks!
  9. ok i jsut got told by a LFS that i discus gets worms naturally or always. that i have to get some sort of med and medicate the water for worms every 3 months. he also said this med is not harmful to bio filter, and other fish and 5 ml treats 100 litres? i forgot the name. but he said that keeping discus, i must treat the water every quarter to ensure there are no worms. is this true? garlic guard help? how bout the occasional discus tucker which has garlic? any feedback would be awesome! ima relative newbie to discus
  10. they are all eating. well, funny, tell me if this is the experience of most if not all discus keepers. the viking pellets are too tiny, they ignore it (please someone buy it off me cos all my fish are too big! its on the TnE section) anyways, i got colourbits, i think they were also being fed this at the breeders. they are eating c gold floating and colourbits. but, they have to wait that its sompletely soaked and soft. then, theyw ould take a big chunk, and spit out 20% to 50% of it and the rest probably swallow. they hardly ever seem to take a mouthfull and just take it in, they seem to constantly chew, and partially spit out the food. really funny how they eat
  11. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forum ... ost4112218 would have posted here but there was a limitation on pictures.
  12. i got 8 so far Blue diamond White butter fly checkerboard panang eruption red melon leopard true red turquoise albino turquoise
  13. they seem to get attracted to big floating pellets lol but with the c gold, they have to wait to get soft while the sinking viking discus pellets gets soft almost instantly and sink
  14. well, they are going for massviore lol so yes! and floating pellets but i wanna get them used to a fiscus food, sinking micro pellets, they are going for it. 3 are already clearly eating, maybe 4. only 2 days in the tank:P im impatient i will want them to eat the discus pellets more so. but we will see i guess.
  15. just got discus, some are eating already,k picking at the floating pellets and the sinking discus pellets i put in. but they take it in, small bites, then chew and spit some out. do you think they take in a little bit each time and spit out the rest? why do they do this? why not just swallow each bite?
  16. yeah, i think i might just go tetra. a 300 gram jar lasts ages!
  17. thats a giant south american ones are less large
  18. ok, i might just get colour bits. hikari too expensive. but if you work it out by kilo, colour bits is only 30 dollars cheaper per kilo. nutrafin is most expensive, jbl is same as colour bits. miht get colour bits and aro pellets.
  19. yes, that is true costs money too though. if we pool together here, maybe fnzas should put a TRUST ACCOUNT number, we all donate for the cause, and import stuff like that:D
  20. doesnt expire for ages though. thought might as well buy best value for money? but yeah, i realise wit their small mouth, they are not cut out to eat big:D
  21. has anyone used this? is it good? i am considering brining in a 1.1 kg bag of discus bio gold by hikari, but expensive. this is a cheaper alternative:D any one else recommend any foods? pellet food
  22. agreed rays will die with in minutes of being in water so cold! they wont even eat, metabolise food. i dont understand either. there are alot of inconsistencies with the rules. just a part of life i guess
