    Arowana

Hi! like others have said, i would recommend you get a small one. First, they are cheaper compared to fully grown ones and their eating habbits may vary. But this is entirely up to you. When you do get one you can feed it crickets, baby goldfish, uncooked prawns and several others. My opinion its always best to feed it live food. Another thing to note is when feed a fully grown arowana live baby goldfish you would want to chuck one at a time. If you chuck in about lets say 5 fish in the tank at once chances are there would be survivors that would swim near the bottom of the tank. Having such thing happened the fish would always look downwards to view its prey, and knowing that it is a top feeder it is not very good on its eyes. Continuous starring to the bottom may cause eye injury to the fish, as i said it happens over time. My mates fish needed eye surgery because one of the arowana's eye flipped over. well anyways hope this helps.. Cheers Dan
  3. Hi beachy! I would recommend you to get an Eheim 2226 model, it pumps 350 L an hour. Other wise you can get your hands on a fluval canister filter. We have a 450 L tank and it is getting filtered by the 2226 Eheim no sweat. Or you can shoot for the moon and get a 2228 Eheim, 600 L an hour. Well hope this helps...others may have different opinion. Cheers Dan

    neons dying

I usually put roughly 1 and a half to 2 table spoons of salt into a 600 x 330x 350 tank . I use my hands though so i cant really tell how much.
  18. YEs...i use a double tube light. One for growing and the other is for colour. 1200 dollars! thats for hardout people with plants.

  20. Hey Wok! Hmmm what plants are good...Ambulia would be nice for some height and bush looking, same with cabomba, some Java Moss, Java fern and Japanese swords perhaps for some broad leave, get some red plants aswell. You want to place the braod leaves first and then place some of the fine leave ones (cabomba, Ambulia etc..) get a bit of driftwood and place the Java fern on it. The java fern will eventually attach itself to the piece of wood. The tank should cycle in withing a week seeing what you have done... Cheers Daniel PS Could i see some pics when it is done
