If the water contains chlorine then washing the tank and stones might have killed off the good bacteria.
I can't remember whether you said what filtration you are using but that could have become toxic during the move.
Hope you get the problem sorted out ok

LOL about the cat, Cath.
There are several fish sold as either Siamese Algae Eaters or Flying Foxes or Colourful flying foxes and they don't all eat algae.
To check you have the correct SAE you need to look at the black line that runs down the side and make sure it goes right to the fork of the tail.
Animates down here sell Siamese Algae Eaters under the name of Flying Foxes - it all gets a bit confusing.
I found a good page which helped to ID them so will have a look and post it here if I find it
Found some - try these links

LOL Ira
But surely, seeing angel fish are fairly triangular, the name angle fish would describe them too.
Don't take any notice of him, MorknMindy, he's just teasing you.

a loach tank would be fun, they are such attractive fish. Damn, now you've got me thinking again.
I guess I could mix them with the tiger barb tank I want - the would inhabit different areas of the water wouldn't they?

Sounds like anubias nana or barteri would be good for what you want. It has large leaves and is a slow grower. It will grow on driftwood if its tied on firmly

Welcome to the forum. I have 5 angelfish in a large tank. I've had them since they were babies and they haven't been any problem at all. They seem to be a little aggressive with each other now but I think they are just sorting out who is top fish.

I do the same as Wok, just cut some off and weight it down. I remove any leftovers after about 12 hours. I continue to feed flake food as well.

I've always wanted to visit Canada - would I have to learn French? recognise moose? learn to defend myself against penguins? and book accommodation in igloos?
I've got dialup and I gave up trying to look at the pictures. I've investigated and if you download Picture Resizer from Microsoft Power Tools, the small size is exactly what is needed for here. It keeps a copy of the larger size so you don't lose the quality picture.
Once its installed all you have to do is right click on a photo and select Resize Picture from the menu.

Mystic - I did flick water at him in a panic yesterday - the end shot off the hose just as I was taking it outside ...........
Once I'd stopped laughing I mopped up the carpet and he went off to mop himself up and change into dry clothes. Luckily it missed the computer !!!!!!!!!
