what type of macro do you use pies?? caleurpa sp? anyone else have any reccomendations for what to use in the fuge for nutrient export?

as its for the fugium apperance isnt important might use the ugly little 70watter.

so now that the nano is going i can return to the main tank. first question is refugium lighting. what kelvin bulb will give the best growth of macro algae and frags? im thinking 6500kelvin

only issue for the returns is the height. im havent decided whether or not to drill mine as im not sure if im getting a seaswirl or not

yeah i've been there for a while, i know what is and isnt suitible my question was more directed towards the availability of hi-fin gobies and other gobys

not too sure but briank on this site had a pistol shrimp so im assuming the are around

i think damsels are too big imo. i just want a really small fish that likes to hang around in the rock work/sand and maybe even get a pistol/goby pair

Im thinking of a little fish for my little tank. gobies would be the only fish suitible has anyone seen a hi-fin goby?

agriqual in auckland do iron tests, thats where we used to send our samples to be tested, costs a fair bit though

i see an easy way of finding out. have some people that use zeovit test for iron and have some that dont test for iron. obviously not very statisticly correct but if the numbers are anything close to what is suggested then it should be obvious
