Oh that makes me think of banana loaf !drool: Maybe that should be my next try since these muffins turned out so freaking awesome, the pic just doesn't do the taste justice.
Any chocolate muffin pre-mix or home made, throw in about 1/4 cup of chocolate chips & 1/4 cup of white chocolate chips, spoon mixture into mini muffin tray just under half full, put in one piece of Cadbury caramel chocolate and spoon the rest of the mixture over top. Bake in oven at 200C for about 20 mins (or whatever instructions from your muffin recipe). Then enjoy on this rainy day !drool:
Thanks guys, I was concerned about that, when I bought the mother from a African community tank she came already holding god only knew what and this lot popped out (my first mouth brooders so quite happy about it). Since then the mother and my male have produced about 30 odd fry who all look much better to my very untrained eye.
This photo is a bit old the fry are a lot bigger now but many of them are still displaying the patchy brown that you can see on them, some of them however aren't. Is this just their immature colours that will fade away or will the brown patches always be there?
undergravel plates is a good idea, but I've never had one either and I too live in a little one bedroom flat so can't keep everything that "might come in handy sometime", even if I want too lol Silicon is a must have lying around.
My fryeri do some digging but not nearly as much as my E Yellows they will always rearrange the tank to how they want it, but hey, they are the ones living in there not me
I bury my rocks very close to the bottom of the tank, probably unnecessarily I also put a layer of silicon on the bottom of the bottom rocks as an added precaution.
100% green with envy right now. Tried to talk work into letting me have a tank, aint gonna happen, sometimes working at a law firm sucks :cry1:
I do have half a dozen posters of fish on my walls though, my boss said couldn't have any more but as far as I am concerned that is not a "reasonable request from my employer" :slfg:
I have always loved sharks they are super interesting and beautiful creatures. Following the sad event in Muriwai, and the almost post Jaws media attention it received, it is nice to see this article, check it out:

I ended up buying a pair of adult BN's who are now named King Odyssius (can never spell that) and Queen Penelope. They have breed once already, the two batches of young Electric Yellow fry viciously hunted down, killed and ate most of them (oopps fun to watch but won't make that mistake again) still have about 8 out of 50ish in a separate tank. Good only knows what I will do with 50ish baby BNs when they breed again?
Yep I just rock on down to The Heads at WHK find me some good looking pieces of wood washed up, take them home, boil them for a bit, soak them for a while, then arrange in tank as desired
Lots of good wood around here :lar:
My BN's are very active and have devoured all of the brown algae in my tank but don't seem to touch the small specks of green at all even though it was surrounded by brown that they ate?
I have been wondering about this myself as I have two 4fts to move from one room to another. Sounds like so long as you have the right amount of muscle to help, you could move them around the house with the substrate in. I would certainly not move a tank to a different house with anything in it, but moving makes me paranoid anyway lol
