Ha there is no Merc in Nelson. If I knew a way that I could still drive and not buy fuel I would stop buying fuel. 100% for real! No point in having insurence when I will not be covered if i have an accident anyway

Some Vic cichlids are very nice, but I still dont know what is available in NZ. I want to do Malawi, Tang and Victoria tanks. I have Malawi done, Tang under construction but need to find more then brown haps for the Victoria otherwise it feels a bit pointless to me

ohhh yeh, I am trying to run mine without a heater in it. I am sure that the rocks I glued to the back are warming the water for free

I dont think I am ready to get out of africans yet, so many plans and dreams blah blah blah yet to achive, then I wanted to go in to Americans..... or buy bigger tanks and keep Americans and Africans :nilly: :nilly: :nilly: I dont have a camera, so no can do with photos at this stage, I am for ever stealing my mates so i may just buy a snap and shoot one day soon. I wanted to put some photos of the rock walled tank up now it has plants and fish in it.... :happy2:

Set up yet another tank today :facepalm: this planted tank buzz has gripped me :facepalm: time to sell up the big tanks and big fish and move towards plants and smaller fish? :dunno: or just buy more smaller tanks and set them up for smaller fish/plants :thup:

2 maybe 3 daysish so not many hours old. sweet fish seem as happy as a kid with a lollipop

Plants are new, so cool :thup: does that mean i should lower lighting and CO2? or keep it the same. ( I am using purely only natural light as tank is sitting in a box window so thought why not give it a hoon. free lighting and heating??? :smln: )

I will take this mistake with a grain of salt and leave it for the fish world to giggle at me for. What exactly are the JEWEL-like bubbles? what cause's them what do they do etc etc? I also saw a constent stream of fine bubbles leaveing the substract from under a plant the other day. same question, normal? ok? what are they? and why? please and thank you's

are jew like little bubbles normal in planted tanks, gathering under leaves and kinda in Java Moss? they look so perty, when the sunlight hits them they sparkle like jews :sml2: but i dont know if they are normal or ok. please help me planty people
