  4. hi everyone, im hoping to build a pond for an outdoor water dragon enclosure and was wanting to go with concrete as it looks quite natural and it cant be pierced by the water dragons claws etc - also i dont really want a bathtub as im going for a more natural look. anyone have any brief tips on building a diy concrete pond - like chicken mesh under concrete or do you use any sealer under concrete orr....? :dunno: thanks :bggrn:

  10. i have a water dragon now hes soo cool, around 15cm incl tail. hes doing really we and im already able to hand feed him after a day of having him! :happy1:

  12. yeah i was thinking similarly to fishguy as in aussie you often see them perched in trees and shrubs etc but ill just get a 10.0 to be safe
  13. so i purchased a uvb bulb, its an exo terra compact 2.0. my question is, would 2.0 be enough for a water dragon? i was told by the pet shop it would be fine but i thought i better get everyone elses opinion before i get the dragon. enclosure is fully set up now with water area, heat lamp and a bit of room for a hatchling btw just need to sort this uv lighting out now :facepalm: haha

  19. can water dragons be kept in terrariums with mainly water at the bottom but with lots of thick branches and platforms above the water? or are the easterns different to the chinese water dragons? thanks. also it will only be in there untill he can go fully outside. because this picture even though its fake is inspiring! http://www.emeraldislereptiles.com/medi ... lled_1.jpg
  20. the temperature is only 26 because i just turned the light on...it usually sits around the 40 degree mark on the basking rock/hide
