  1. Great, as usual Li@m! Love the lights
  2. Note that this now has to go, as I am moving out from NZ. I hope someone can take good care of this
  3. Yes they are lovely! They are golden head purple harlequins. I bought them on HFF in albany.
  4. Here a video-update of my Island Style Aquarium. Enjoy!
  5. Hi guys! I might be going away for 3 months, and won´t be able to take care of this tank. Do you know how much could I ask for it in case I need to sell it? This would include Eheim filter, my custom LED lights, plants and fishes. Thanks!
  6. Hi! Is there any Carex suitable for aquariums? Thanks!
  7. Yes, they are cold white. I don't remember if they were 6500 or 7000 but both should do just fine.
  8. Nope... just adding nitrate, potassium and excel on a regular basis (50% of recommended dosage) and iron once a week.
  9. Good start on that tank! It´ll grow beautifully for sure! Lovely fish too
  10. A few pics from today: Leave comments if you like it!
  11. I have hundreds of the mini ones And because I just like planorbis, I prefer to get rid of them once and for all. I'll vacum after a week to get rid of the bodies. Thanks!
  12. Hi, Is it possible to buy LOMPER in NZ? I would like to get rid of hundreds of small snails in one of my tanks. Thanks!
  13. I would say, that all depends on how you fertilize and how many fish you have in your tank - a dirty gravel is not a good thing to have. I normally vacum the mosses and riccia mostly, but also the gravel. I add liquid fertiliser, which helps me better to keep a good healthy nutrition for my plants. If you are into nature aquariums (the natural), then never vacum gravel
  14. Beautiful tank! +1 for hydrocotyle japan

Please, don't tell me that you are adding CO2 in a dry start :smln:
  16. Li@m, you a little master!!!! I love the evolution of this tank!!!! Keep up with the good work!!!!
  17. I think it is a little bit of both, but without talent, availability is not important at all. I've seen very very very beautiful tanks just using 1 type of plan or using plants that can be bought at any aquarium shop in NZ
  18. I am very happy with the results of these bulbs. See them here:

  20. This is what I am using, and it is working great with my tank: http://translate.google.com/translate?c ... pair=es|en I had to import the bulbs, but it was not expensive at all. If you need to know where I imported from, drop me a PM. Regards!
  21. What's with "Daltons"?! Is it good or what??? Pictures of tanks using this please!!!
