Thanks. The Red Phantoms have this black dot on their sides and some black & white colouring on their dorsal fins. Those colours have been getting darker the past couple of days. Does this mean the fish is not stressed anyomore ?

Stocked with: 4 x Neons (1 is suspected with Neon Tetra Disease) 2 x Red Phantom Tetras 2 x Bronze Cories Plants: Ambulias and some other ones taht the LFS sells for $1.70 each (On the driftwood) Tech Spex: -> 600 x 300 x 300 mm Tank, with 2 pieces of glass as lid. -> Shark 1 Submersible Power Filter (1 x Activated Carbon, 1 x Sponge Cartridge) -> Gravel to fill the bottom -> Driftwood approx 20cm wide -> Air Wall 30 cm long driven by 6litre/minute dual output pump

Yeah, those buttheads give auqababies free to clasroom kids and get "testimonials" from them. They are poisioning the minds of the next genereation of potential fish keepers. It pisses me off how thaey do that. Every1 Email Hollywood Fish Farm and tell them how we feel [email protected]

Dunno about the PH, but all other neons are live and happy eating well and stuff. Also the 2 Red Phantoms are enjoying themselves as well. Only one of the tetras is discoloured. Looks like tetra disease.

Please guys, help me diagnose my very sick neon tetra. It's colours have faded and it has this growth on its tail (See photo). This seems an awful lot like Neon tetra disease.

Again I must say, Aqua one are pretty good. Ive heard Jager heaters been breaking down and making fish fry recently. Ud be better off not gettin a jager one.

Yes, keeping fish is awesome, but keeping a betta in a 1 litre tank is not. Ive got a 55l and after planting bearly have space for 2 bettas talk about One in a 1 litre tank.... I hate his. Its really annoying me that people would be cruel to fish for money. They cant eve fight back. They only have people like us who understand how to keep fisd keep them reasonably happy to protect them. Not On..... hollywood fishfarm. :evil:

Yeah, Its really Inhuman how that works. Apparently "A plant can filter and oxygenate the water" - That is true to some extent, but A plant alone is not enough to filter the water. They should be made Illegal in NZ.

I went to Hollywood Fish Farm yesterday, I was shocked to see a "Betta Hex" on the shelf. I walked over in disbelief and looked inside the box. In approximation it holds maybe maximum 1 liter water. Measurements: 10 x 15 x 8 cm at the MAX. Not good hollywood fish farm..... I didn't think they would sell aquababies.

Yes, you are right, I should probly euthanize it, But I would like to exhaust all my other options before I do that. Those neons were my first fish.

The lump wasnt always there, just saw it yesterday. Looks kind of white around the bump. Also the coulours of the fish have faded and it opens and closes its mouth faster than the other fishies. THis spot appeared overnight.

So Is the neon contagious ?

And, I found 2 snails in my tank 2day, killed them both, they were approx 4 mm in length. Also one of my neon tetras has this little bump on its tailfin just where it connects to its body. Whats the problem ?

Here are some more questions: Which plants grow on driftwood ? And how do you make them attach to it. Which bulb is best for plants + Fish ? Is there a particular Brand or something ? Where can I get some silicon ? If I buy a submersible 1 use camera, will it enable me to take better pics of my tank by submersing it ?
