Activated Carbon is this thing which "ADSORBS" (Bad things stick to the surface of it due to its chemical properties) things like melafix - if you have just treated the fish, it will remove the excess from your tank. Also the dude at LFS told me that It will make the browness of the water go away after I got driftwood. Ive found that Activated Carbon Cartridges for Shark 1 submersible power filter costs like $6.50. It needs to be chganged every 3 weeks apparently.... Ive only had mine for a week. I believe Activated Carbon is of not much use unless you want something gone from your tank real qick. People tell me its better to get Sponges instead to use so theres more room for the bateria to grow.

Ive decided not to take em back, Ill buy another cory and another few of the Mystery fish.

Yes, But what shuld I do now. Are these fish in the pics compatible with neons ? Im not worried about the cories. The fish in the pics is trying to school with the neons and scaring them. I trust it will be sweet until 2morrow.

Now that my tank is all set up and cycled, I need some great colourful fish to show it off. Any1 got suggestions ? Tank is 55L 600 300 300mm with Shark 1, 100w Heater, Air Wall and some Ambulias. Also Are Angel fish compatible with Neon Tetras ?

I have 4 tetras, but I plan on giving those away. And I will buy the airfilter, just $8 at LFS. I dont want to breed them for selling or anything, Just wanna c how its done.

600 x 300 x 300 Will need 2 get air powered filter. If I aerate it with 30 cm Airstone, will there be too much current? I have a 6lt/min pump with 2 outlets. Planted with Ambulias, will get some more. Im guessing I will need to remove the mother and other guppies coz they will eat them ?

No other fis in the tank, PH i have not checked, But now the fish haved moved on playing in the bubbles. Now they swim freely around the tank and do what they want ! Thanx 4 ur help guiys

I just got a bendy airstone, set it up and now Im pumping air into my tank. My tetras are ALWAYS near the airstone, rarely ever come up exept for feeding time. R my fish choking ?
