  1. At this stage in your tanks life you can just blowtorch off the api with a warehouse pencil blowtorch. Mine hasnt returned in the 6 months since I did it.

  12. in my 130 litre i have about 200 plants. 1 t8 powerglo , 1 t8 cool daylight, and 2 t5ho powerglos. Every 3 months i have to scrape a little bit of green dot algae off the glass but not enough to hinder my view of the fish. You need more plants, 4 isnt enough for a fishbowl.
  13. plant some *more* plants and feed them some flourish comprehensive, once they are established they will outcompete the algae for nutrients. Also look at replacing your bulbs if they are old
  14. What a out a nice pair of p. taeniatus of some colour variation

  17. your photos are amazing mate and so are your fish!
  18. My flatmate bought one once, it says EXTREMELY toxic to all aquatic life, remove all fishtanks from the room before spraying. I didnt take the chance, and have too many tanks to move. Instead i got a 5 dollar electric fly swat which is awesome fun and just tap them into a tank and most fish love them. Up to my third zapper now !
  19. Its just a fish shop telling you the only choice is to buy their gimmicks, google is much more helpful and less likely to see you coming i find a big waterchange effective in dealing withh algal blooms
  20. You will be fine with compressed air for that journey.
  21. which fish did you end up keeping out of the original lot?
  22. please name these tankbuilder to save other people in christchurch the hassle, and in the future allow me to recommend Dave Evans as a very well regarded tank builder (as good a quality as Cam at petworld and far cheaper)
