  2. Loving it! so awsome!! :cophot:
  3. Nice little set-up . still got the rams?
  4. I normally breed guppys properlly, remove the weak etc, keep seperate strains in seperate tanks, at this stage this tank is for looks, these guppys are a few mixed strains so it would be pointless trying to prevent them from breeding. I will probably just let them do their thing, if it gets two crowded i can allways remove some.
  5. ah okay, ive never had issues with my java fern, most tanks i look at alwlays just have it planted as normal. cheers for the info
  6. Hey Everyone, I have allways wanted a planted feature tank. I used to have 17 tanks set up for breeding last year but we had a house fire and lost all of the fish due to no power and no water supply, tanks broke and other issues that arose around the fire. I have now setup a tank in my room, its 4ft long and roughly 350L. It is my first attempt at a nice tank like this, i think it is looking pretty awsome. its a start so feel free to let me know if im doing it wrong/things to improve Most plants i got for free thanks to SamH and a few friend's who held on to my plants/fish while i got my house back together. Also got a heap of plants from Sophia so thanks heaps. Plants: Lots of ambuila along the back, Java moss on driftwood, Java fern along the front, Twisted val, Some swords and a few other plants. Fish: Mainly male guppys (Snakeskin, Albino, lots of blondes, whites and reds), 1 x Red Spot Pleco, 1 x Male Bristlenose Pleco, A few swordtails and plattys also. Ferts and Substrate: The bottom is 2/3rds sand then a layer of API Laterite and then another layer of sand over the top. I am currently adding some Flourish Excel untill i get my c02 all set up and a bit of Flourish Iron to help with the plants that are in need of some help. Here are a few photos:
